A glimpse at our work
HOW THE SKY WILL MELT (A FEATURE FILM)
Shot on Super 8mm Kodak, Sky Melt was in production for over three years. Sky Melt directed by Matthew Wade, has been a great collaborator of mine. This project was one of the most grueling, but greatest experiences of my life.
Here is a quick look at the film. You can watch it premiere online at Nobudge.com on September 1st.
SLIME FROM THE STARS - WINTER (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO)
Shot over the period of three weeks. Matthew Wade, Tyler T. Williams and myself collaborated on visual style looking to merge classic rotoscope animation, cloud tank effects, and glossy light design. Combined we built a project that allowed us to utilized all of our specific skill sets in one project. Sarah A. Gardner and Sara Lynch star in this patient music video about magic, soul eating, and its consequences.
TIMBER TIMBRE - CURTAINS?! (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO)
It was fun to work on this video, because I respect John Alton's work back in the golden days of noir. He was a man who had to work around some serious limitations of budget and tools, but still could create such memorable and iconic imagery. He taught me how important light design is. A true painter of light.
Tyler T. Williams directed and shot this little crime noir thriller.
DAWN GOLDEN - ALL I WANT
(OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO)
I was privileged enough to work with Tyler T. Williams on his latest music video for the band DAWN GOLDEN.
It was a cold night, but well worth the end product. Plus it was simply fun, you can't say no to the great leaders, and companions, Ron Torres, David Thompson, and Tyler T. Williams.
LUCY - A Strangecraft Production
Lucy was a short project Strangecraft Grip/Electric produced in late December of 2012. It was inspired by a morbid conversation I had with a close friend about grave robbing. Somehow it generated itself into a poem, and demanded to be shot. So in between shooting HOW THE SKY WILL MELT, I decided to ask my South Californian friends to endure the cold winters of Boise, Idaho. The looks I received when it snowed.
DISTANCE - Apt Pupil Films
Shot on 16mm in 2007. I was Director of Photography, and Tyler Neisinger directed it.
Tyler is part of a duo called Gladtime Audio that do Location Sound in L.A.
THE ROAD TO TREEFORT SERIES
It was phenomenal project that Zach Voss of Retroscope put together. TREEFORT MUSIC FESTIVAL in Boise, Idaho was able to put a good amount of mileage out of it. I put down the last one (its my favorite), but if you're interested in seeing the story in full, click on the Vimeo link attached.
YOUTH LAGOON - MUTE (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO)
Tyler T. Williams produced this video in the Spring of 2013. It was blast staring into the dream machine.
R.O.N. WELCOMES YOU!
Shot in June of 2013, Zach Voss produced this fun orientation video for Rutgers University.
